Our share for Euro 2011

This is my brother Jeremy's & my share for EuroMilitaire 2011

Both busts are in 120mm & produced by Historex & both were gifts from Geoffrey Illsley when he visited Malta last September

They were a pain to paint with all that braiding & piping & as usual, Uncle Ray "held" our hands to finish that braiding especially & fine tune the final touches, but I must admit that all basic painting & basic blending was painted by us

I would like to thank Samwel for providing us with two beautiful bases, but which we'll save for our next two boy scout busts by PiliPili

Also a thank you to Ivan for the name plates which I hope are ordered in time by Uncle Ray

Last but not least a big thank you to Stephen for providing Uncle Ray with the right complicated colour of the uniforms & imbarazz hanging from everywhere

This was the 4th successive year of Scale Modelling Summer School @ Nanna's

This summer's attendance was less frequent than last year's, again due to my transitional period as last year they both benefitted from a lot of REAL sick leave on my part

But nonetheless, we all enjoyed it as usual & even though maybe breaks & pranks were less frequent due to the sombre mood both Nappies (Napoleonics) put us in I managed a couple of gaffes with the boyz just to live up to my expectations

Both busts turned out very nice as I told them when they GRUMBLED re braiding and the amount of IMPERATIVE CORRECTING & REVISITING paid handsomely in the end

Well done indeed!

As Ray said, that little bit of extra effort goes a long way in the end and is absolutely worth it. It's one of those things that makes our hobby so great!

Well done again. I wish I had a mentor of that calibre as I was growing up!! so learn all you can
