Guys this a 120mm figure that I finished before going to Euro but decided not to take with me. I wonder why SmileSmileSmile. Anyway, it's by Micheal Roberts and although easy to assemble, not so easy to paint. Thanks for looking

As always nice painting, marine drill fatigue dress is a nightmare to get the right tone but you acheived it well. A good number of these radio op. were red indians [most from arapoha tribes] mortalised in Windtalkers some moons ago ... you also got the groundwork and weathering + sweat effect very well, I am noticing a dark lava bed, perfect for Iwo-Jima.
    nice job mate!

Lovely work Steve, really nice. The detail on the uniform, the torn knee, the radio is really well done, brilliant job, what a lovely piece.

Great job mate & I'm sure that if you carried this dude with you to Euro you would have got nothing since there are no stalactites hanging from the arms like icing sugar drippings to represent the WET EFFECT lol!

Any of you guys wondering what I'm talking about & without hijacking Steve's thread, there was a Vietnam G.I (correct me if I'm wrong) in Class 2 (where this dude would have been entered) soaking SHINY WET looking like he was dipped into a bowl of icing sugar, & he got a silver Sad

I made this snide comment since we @ Euro, all scrutinized this atrocity to the minutest detail & also mentioned the wet/sweat effect which Steve captured so well on this subject Twisted Evil

Ray you are perfectly right. That was the reason I left this dude home. My only satisfaction is that the client went crazy about it. Even though for me the biggest atrocity was that Roman, again in class 2. I got the 'thanks ' email from Geoff. Out of respect for him I elected not to reply. Just cannot be the sacrificial lamb again mate !!!

Steve, I do not totally agree with you. I gave my view on the AFV secrtion and what can be updated, just be diplomatic and do not point fingers at anyone. Personally I feel the system need some update so why not point out. Can a jury in 3 consecutive yaers be the same in the same category, I think also for them is haelthy to be moved and mixed with others.

If they want to keep as is, finally it's their choice ... I siad what I had in my mind ...

Answering both of you at the same time Twisted Evil

I have not replied to him.......yet.......I will in due time like I always did especially re unpainted AFV's to which although he stuck to & defended the then judges' decisions, eventually he surrendered to reason beyond doubt to "create" a seperate class cheers

I will defend the hobby no matter what/who, like I always or rather like we of SSM always did after all I love you

He knows we are no bounty hunters, or modelling pretenders & he knows how PASSIONATE we are of the HOBBY, so ama I will be diplomatic, I will be ADAMANT & AFFIRMATIVE!

I'm sorry, I'm not letting murder occur under my nose & let anyone take me for a ride, as if I am a bloody idiot! No way! I'll let the water settle a bit & I will make my point to him.......capable or not, of inflicting the changes to save Euro, HE MUST BE INSTIGATED TO ACT, as it befalls on his shoulders ALONE as Chief Judge TO ACT Sad

That is the spirit of true beleiver and fighter ... I have done my share already. But do not let things calm down more as they will think everyone is acting out of sour grapes. For me modellers grabbing their models on a Sunday morning before noon was already enough a protest.

Whilst I partially agree with both of you, my biggest doubt will always be 'does Geoff have the power to make the changes?' Personally, I think not !!
