The making of ...
So here is the start of the joint project ... updating the ZIS5 russian truck, basically a decent kit but needs some TLC, thinning the extra thick mudguards, adding interior cabin detail [which was wood] with plastic card, adding texture to wooden areas, wheels resin by Hussar... etc etc ...

The Making of......
Well done Ivan,
A good job indeed. Apart from the fact that the scene represents history in the true sense, as it is backed up by a wartime photograph. These type of small dioramas, recreating this type of scenario, are not common. So to see this beauty ready will be a true sensation.
Prosit brother.

Re: The making of ...
Thank you guys ... the aircraft for the time being is the old revell option which shall be swopped with Joseph's masterpiece.
Will start having the cabin interior paintedready first before proceeding to the complex job of all ... adding the detailing and converting figures. From the image claerly show that the soldiers just behind the cabin most are standing on something high, probably some boxes or wood that are just under the 109 nose, so we have to do some artistic license here ... so far that's it ... will follow up soon with the cabin process and driver ...

Great work so far Ivan. It's gonna look brilliant finished
Any Ideas about a name for the scene?
"Dasvidaniya Luftwaffe?"
"The Robin" (bird with a red chest )
"Balancing Act", "Balancing Out", "Restoring Balance"
"Final Migration"

Wayne, that same Ronnie the Robin is at the Club in the showcase
Joking apart, "Balancing Act" opens up a lot of doors vis a vis the interaction of the figures with the 109 IMHO what do you think Ivan

HMMMMMM,
I sense a big portion of soviet sympathisers.
Must get the 1SS panser Division LAH, to balance up a bit.

You have beaten the Ruskies during Barbarossa, but Ivans beat you in Moscow, Stalingrad, Kursk, Leningrad, 2nd Kharkov, Ukrain, Poland, Austria, Hungary and finally taken Berlin... may I add some minor clashes aswell ...
Very difficult to balance that

Unfortunately you are right,
And it all the 6 footer's fault. If he did not re route the Panzer Divisions towards the Caucasus Oil Fields,We would have gave some lessons to the Ruskies as how to swim across the Volga. Adding insult to injury - the other damaged brain (Himmler) issued an order to treat the Russion polulation as sub humans. Now how can you treat an ultra nationalist population as sub-humans.
I guess this is something that I will never understand. We had the population on our side, as they were fed up of Stalin and his bullying.
Anyhow, the rest is history now.

I admire the Germans for their engineering prowess and technological advances during the war but I'm sure glad they never won it. Not that Uncle Joseph was any better than Uncle Adolf but still...
That's enough Hijacking... back to the Diorama

So you see how many DOORS have opened for the Title already?
As Wayne (Bravu bro) & Ivan see it, from a Historical & Warlike point of view
I am seeing it as the men in the truck performing a hazardous Balancing Act with the cumbersome fuselage
Marco is seeing it from a Modeller's point of view
Our Holy Hobby just ROCKS

Did you see the wingspan on the Lancaster in 32nd? It's almost 1m wide
Jaw-dropping models though!

So, possibly you are looking at 1.5 - 2m long diorama You will need to rent the whole first class flight area
