I love watching your work!
What happened to the 109's ? Had you finished them?

Re: FW190-D9 of JG26
thanks for your comment Noel. Seems like you haven;t been around for some time. The last two models i finished (aircraft) were Bf110's. You can find them further down the list in the aircraft category. Also built a couple of fantasy figures for my friend and two motorbikes for kicks.

Re: FW190-D9 of JG26
The pit looks really great! I thought the P-40 had a pretty simple cockpit for its day, but the 190 really had a simplified cockpit!

Re: FW190-D9 of JG26
I will be watching this very closely Brian as the 190 is my all time favourite bird (although I prefer the radial engined version)
Great work so far, as usual after all
Looking forward to seeing more.

Re: FW190-D9 of JG26
Here is the work on the fuselage. Both halves are now glued together. I have decided to go for the stressed skin effect and of course rivets. I have already done this on my previous 190 and i liked the result so here goes.

Re: FW190-D9 of JG26
You are right Marco, i seem to have missed a couple of rows of rivets at least but i did work accodring to plans. I guess they were not accurate after all. Maybe you can refer me to more accurate drawings before i start on the wings now that the fuse is totally done and glued together. The wings are next.

Now that will be a bit difficult.. to find a good detail plan acording to rivets ... and photos a bit to because ...normally they were painted on.... we will see what we can find......

Re: FW190-D9 of JG26
i have checked the drawings and the rivets correspond with those on the drawings i am using. i guess they are both not 100% accurate. In any case, i added the other missing rows of rivets since they were easy to include.

Re: FW190-D9 of JG26
Aw guys, i finally have some more pics to show you. Have been working on the wheel bay/rear engine bay etc. The rear engine bay as per kit is very sparse with a lot of missing detail in the form or plumbing, wiring and also some linkage controls. These have all been added. Detail has also been added to the wheel wells. The basic painting is done but all the pipes and wiring still need work, and of course no washes have yet been applied so you are seeing a work in progress.

Impressive job...
Just love detailed up engines and wheel bays.
Did you take short cuts on the mould lines, cos u left a couple or the area will be mostly hidden? What do u use for plumbng and wiring fuse wire or lead wire?
Great work Bri!

Re: FW190-D9 of JG26
Thanks for your comments. Where there are mold lines, there was raised detail in the real thing, probably casting marks. The rest will be covered up. there is a large central part covering all that detail and much of it will be lost anyway. Still, this is not ready yet, i just wanted to post something.
