Amazing work Brian... an inspiration as always.

I've always admired the attention to detail and the neatness of it... how you manage to perfectly align all that pipework is a mystery to me. My He 162 engine is driving me nuts on that Very Happy

    Keep them coming!

PS, Seems you can't get enough of these Jerry Warbirds Twisted Evil and who can blame you... beautiful machines!

Since the majority of you guys did not like the outdoor photography, well please ignore those pics and here is a new set taken completely indoors in the 'studio'. Of course you are right and these are much better to see detail etc. the plane rests on its base which, as i have already probably told you, depicts a clearing in the forest or woods where these fighters used to be dispersed during the final months of the war. The base is limited in size by the space on my shelf.

Thanks Noel, coming from you that is a big compliment because i am not good at groundwork whilst that is an integral important part of the models you build so i guess it came ok.

Hi Brian. Much better. cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers

Wish for more pics showing the whole OF. Its beautiful silhouette must be fully exposed!!!
Ps. Check the seat belt that is hanged out of the cockpit. I think its position is wrong. It should be hanged vertically to the ground. (according to my opinion)

Some questions if you allow me Brian.

Have you confirmed the black outline on the Yellow num?

Hi Alex, thanks for your comments, yes the seat belt does need to straighten out a bit more but i hesitate to glue it to the side of the plane. Somehow i can't bring myself to do it but i guess i have to if it is so obviously not right.

Yes, the pilot himself confirmed the black outline.
    Cheers

    TNX Brian.

I'm asking that because i know that you build A/Fs of survived pilots. That's something unique for the modelling community.

You do not mention any Historical data, but according to the Wr. Num you built Karl-Georg Genth's bird who was shot down by a Greek ace pilot mr Vasiliades flying a Tempest in RAF service.

I guess that your pilot has confirmed more things on that plane, like the camo scheme. I want to verify Jerry Crandal's spesicications about 500XXX series doras.

According to him, the only difference compared to your colors, are the RLMs on the wings. He says that the Mimetal wings were painted with a light gray primer (something like the RLM77) and RLM 75 on their upper surfaces. Yours look like to be painted with RLM75 and the mysterious RLM83.

If your pilot confirms your colors, many things need to lay down on the table again.

    Alex.

This looks really great and it's one of your best bases yet, the trees looked so realistic and so do the dried tea leaves as foliage. Did you have to color the foliage at all?
