Sexy colorful machines, much nicer then the dull grey birds we see lately ... May for your interest trumpeter/hobby boss just showed over facebook a new huge carrier based Chinese (from the j family) warbird in 1/72.

Thanks Ivan, I can't access FB from here, but if it's the J-15, the Chinese built Su-33 Flanker variant, it's already available from Hasegawa as the Su-33 and is to be issued the J-15:

And it's quite a good model according to reviews. There is also a Zvezda new mould Su-27S which has just been released and initial reports say it's also very good!

And they are also making the Su-33UB (originally Su-27KUB) naval trainer, of which there were very few made (2?). And maybe it's cheaper, and even more accurate than Hasegawa's. Maybe the Chinese are buying/building the 2-seat version and they are preparing the model already.

Re: Four 1/72nd scale Flankers
Today I have airbrushed the Su-34 camo scheme finally, after several masking sessions for a lot of the panels in grey, although there are still smaller ones to be done, and the leading edges. I have used Akan paints, and they are excellent.
And also been doing the Airfix P-51D Red tails finished in Alclad, requires some weathering:

Re: Four 1/72nd scale Flankers
I have finally finished something! Well, not all but 2 of the Flankers and the P-51D are done, just took some quick photos, but I will try to take some better ones.

Thanks everyone! I'll try to come to the club and bring some of them there. Hopefully I'll get the other 2 ready by next week.

These Flankers are really nice and especially the Su-34! Akan paints seem to be excellent.

Re: Four 1/72nd scale Flankers
And here are the other Flankers, the Su-34 in nearing the final semi matt coat, while the Venezuelan Su-30 still needs a gloss coat for applying decals and weathering. The colours are my guess for the Su-30, with the mid grey being a mixture of Hu40 and a little Hemp, the lighter Grey is MM2133 USSR Fulcrum Grey and H144 intermediate blue as the dark grey, which was the one suggested in the Begemot decal sheet instructions.
