Just finished the last camo colour today and removed the masking, getting ready for gloss, decals and weathering..
Not the best quality and full of flash even though it's a relatively new mould, but is said to correct the inaccurate length of the otherwise excellent Tamiya kit.

Looking pristine but be wary of the White ensign colours, many of them are not accurate at all. Ask Marco, he will tell you all about it.

    Hi Brian,
I only used the Yellow from the WE range as I couldn't find anything else, the RLM02/65/71 are all MM. I am doubting that RLM71 should be darker in fact as well. The photo was taken under a desk lamp in RAW mode in the camera, and white balance adjusted on the white of the prop spinner which should provide the least deviation in colour, but than it depends much on the monitor you view it!

I was only telling you just in case you didn't know so that you would not fall into the trap like i did.

Thanks very much! It's also a very expensive way to get trapped. Problem is that there are no RLM colours available on the island at the moment, according to my knowledge.

Hello Scirocco , I see you have a like for all type of aircraft, and that is very good... I would like to comment on this never ending subject..and of course on this magnificent type of aircraft..

First.. are you building the JG3 Assi Han 109...version
Second ...the RLM 71 yes it is a little bit lighter but it is ok for me for a 1/72
Third ...the mottle are not that convincing, I thing they should be darker
and the pattern on the port wing again ..I try to find you a photo not a drawing...
here are a profile and a built model to give you an idea...

Thanks very much for your help Skyhigh. I have that profile but I could not find a top view of the aircraft so I followed ICM's colour profile....should have done more research I suppose! I will try to improve the mottle but I have a bottle of MM RLM02 which I suppose is a little old and is not mixing well with either thinner or Revell color mix as I tried with both before starting on the model.
