Re: Two Me 163 komets
Thanks all, here is the rudder pedal assembly for one of my komets. The pedals are photoetched from Radu Brinzan, they are slightly different but good eonough for the early version rudder pedals. Don;t for get that these are pre-production models. The rest of the assembly is scratchbuilt. Hope you like them.

I don't know... but detail like this pleases the eye.
It also gives you a sense of satisfaction of knowing that you are caring for every detail.
Nice work, Brian!

A fun project thanks for the comments. A lot of work but very pleasant and rewarding. Now we need to pray for more rain, especially on weekends. Bad weather is a modeler's best friend.

Re: Two Me 163 komets
Don't know much about the details of the cockpit of the 163, but the details you are putting in so far looks amazing! I'd go crazy trying to put in all those details, much less trying to even see them!

Re: Two Me 163 komets
TOTAL DISASTER!!!! This is what's left of over a month's work on this pit after my dog somehow got to it yesterday. I was close to finishing the work on the sidewalls. Total bloody disaster. I have to start over again. The problem is that i cannot afford such a waste of time. Modeling time is so limited. This set me back a whole month. Well, its back to the drawing board. First job is trying to see what i can salvage from this unholy mess.

Re: Two Me 163 komets
Wow... Brian...... that is a tragedy!! Really sorry!
Did you find the photo etch padels?
No words can comfort this disaster. What I can say is don't falter and re-do it because I'm sure that, like me, your other friends are all looking forward to see how this project is going to turn out!
Count to 10, relax....... break a favorite toy of your dog to get even and look ahead!

Re: Two Me 163 komets
Marco it is my fault, i left a chair close to the modelling desk and she climnbed onto it and got hold of the parts. Noel, thank God the rudder pedals are a sub assembly and were not fixed to the pit at the time, they are safe. that would have been the ultimate blow, it took me an entire weekend or bad weather to do those.

Re: Two Me 163 komets
Terrible luck after all of that work! Hopefully some of it can be salvaged
and it won't take too long to fix.
