Arado Ar 234 B (Hobbycraft 1:48)

Here's another project I'm working on in parallel with the Macchi 205.

It's another oldie - Hobbycraft's 1:48 Arado Ar 234

This kit was sourced from our dear friend Skyhigh and came loaded with aftermarket parts:



It is also one of the few privileged kits to come out of Skyhigh's stash that is actually going to be built

wayne you've taken a great responsibility on your shoulders without knowing the minute you decided to build that kit. That is unique,one out of God only knows how many that will actually be built. you just can't go wrong here. Tsk! Tsk! mohhok hemm!

I'll paint it shocking pink with yellow polka dots. Maybe that would be enough to kick start his will to build again

I don't think that even that won't budge him. What a pity !!!

Here's the resin control column with scratch built handle bars (yes I broke the resin ones ) compared to the kit part

Rudder pedals reverse angle. The grey plastic 'dots' will sport some wiring later on

I actually found a better system... I shifted my construction workstation from the garage to the house and I seem to find more time that way.

Way to go, that has always been my way, model in the house where you are close to the action and they bother you less. your presence is felt and they cannot grumble that you are not there. Well done.

Yep, Exactly. Besides I feel better because I can always stop for a minute and help out if need be. At least I would be aware that I was needed not like when I worked in the garage.

So yeah, everyone wins

Wow what excellent detail, keep this going.

I thought this was gonna be a quick out-of-the-box build but that galzed nose exposes so much detail that you just cannot leave it out.

Once the cockpit is done though the rest should be plain sailing.

Don't bet on that, that is what i keep on saying when working on a project and i have yet to get to the 'plain sailing' bit!
