"Thunderbirds" F16C Block 52

Here is a model ive had in the stash for a few years!
I am a bit disappointed. i thought being Tamiya everything would go smoothly. I needed quite a bit of filler and the intake didnt go in place well at all!! and i hate spraying white...

The intake for some reason DID NOT fit into place correctly! i had to super glue it down and these gaps formed inside the wheel bays! i cannot figure out what went wrong.


Since the intake didnt fit into place correctly this nasty gap formed inside.


After THREE session of spraying this horrible colour and about 10 coats.. the white finally built itself up.
But for some odd reason the Vallejo Model Color didnt dry totally and remained sticky and soft and the paint was mixed well.

I think you mess it up some thing with that intake and a wheel well...
i did not work on tamiya yet, but i did it kinetic one , and is almost same, but as far as i remember, to fit all in place was a bit of tricky afair, but once fitted and "click" in a place, was needed just some thin cement.
i am pretty sure you screw it up there.

I always wanted to try watercolors. I think you have more control and they are forgiving.

the liquid mask worked well and didnt allow paint to penetrate it.
Watercolours are great and have very fine pigment and leave behing a nice thick line. only problem is they melt when your finger makes contact leaving fingerprinnts all around your model. best is they can be washed off
