I think it is something related to pic quality/processing. The front part clearly show that it is a mkIIc trop ,as I can see the trop filter . The underside color of the nose is definitly not a light color but possibly azure blue or something similar (now I am seeing in color ) Even the colors of the fuel tanks is different, therefore I deduce that it is something related to the picture
And the saga continues...................
p.s. - I realy doubt that this hurricane is finished in 3 - 4 tone topside color, especially since it was recently delivered

Re: Joint dioramas
I think, and IMHO, that both aircraft are finished in tropical colours, especially first pic, the other patches and different colours are all related to the reproduction/quality of photos.
We still can coninue researching topic, maybe something more reliable will pop up, but I am very happy with pics as these show a lot.
I wait for items to arrive to start detailing/conversion and scribing

I just check on Ivan to make sure he's far behund and voila.....I keep walking on without looking back
Now that JF and Joseph are seeing Tropical camo as well (but why do i doubt God's Infinty at times why? ) its bye bye vow of silence on this topic and I can see that skyhigh is seeming subdued somehow somewhat
I bet a dime that he's deep in his books to try and proove us WRONG
It would be MUCH BETTER to scribe a panel line or two then copy and paste TEXT which I bet another dime, no one cared ro read so far

Re: Joint dioramas
Jien naqbel ma Marco. There is something strange in these schemes. The nose for both aircraft is markedly lighter with highly feathered darker camo and the rest of the plane shows hardly any contrast at all. Something very unusual about these schemes, they are not consistent throughout the aircraft.

Re: Joint dioramas
Also, the underside of the first hurricane standing on the nose is very probably light blue sky whilst the one on the second plane is much darker, azure blue.

Re: Joint dioramas
Isma, the dark colour on the nose of the second hurricane might be something that came out of the engine, note that it seems to be coming out of that hole in the side panel on the nose.

Re: Joint dioramas
I think Brian was spot on, though very difficult to confirm BW to colour but there is a way using Photoshop to check channels and hues in the image.
So from my test I took the hues of the colours which we are sure of the roundel, so considering the centre is read the next hue similar is the nose, and as I am assuming that propellers are black the hue of the nose is nothing near, so my guess is red.
The stange dark colour Brian spotted for me is stain, notice there is no hard edge paint scheme and no solid areas, what is misleading is that there are spots on the forewing but notice that stain goes under the wing as well, so probably it is also some oilstains on the wing near the MG areas.
The underside is a difficult colour put hues are strong in the Cyan and Magenta channel, and that mix is more near to a bluish hue so your guess of Azure might be probable.
Notice as well that 'fuel tanks' are a different hue in both but that could be reflections as well ...
Ivan

Re: Joint dioramas
Ray, it was not my idea to raise the amount of posts. I posted a comment and then went back to the photos and noticed something else so i posted again and so on but coming to think of it, it is not a bad tactic. A good alternative to asking Alex kemm fadal.
Ivan, do not judge underside colours from the external tanks, those were used for convenience and to serve a particular purpose, they could have been sourced from anywhere and did not come out of the factory with the aircraft, so they could have been any other colour. i still feel that the underside of the first hurri is light blue sky whilst the second, is in my opinion, azure blue. As for the nose, it is definitely lighter than the rest of the fuselage and that is no light trick or condition.

Re: Joint dioramas
Yep Brian that is why I hinted about the fuel tanks, definetly they are from different source and nothing near the underside colour. Might be that bought fuel tanks are different colours as the hue is so contrasting and is not because of shadowing.
Regarding the nose, it is a strange colour, black for sure it is not, but hue is very strong in the same channel as the red roundel colour. Infact if you pic any pixels they are almost similar. I might not agree with you though that it is lighter then the fuselage, if considering that fuselage is a desert colour and picking up colour is around 60% or less grey the nose is a more 80% and very similar grey to the red roundel, can't be sure that it is a red colour but looks that for sure it is not a light sand ... but again BW are very disgutible to justify the colour!
