Wayne it's an F.4, you can see the exhaust shrouds half coverd ,
I thought some F2s also had that cover......

Wayne wrote:Mhux biex immerik imma I don't think that the one on the truck is the same as the one in the other photos. For starters The "Flying Lion" is missing and there is no cowling cover (although it could have been removed). Also, the shape of the number 12 in the second colour profile does not match. I think the first profile is closer, however the 109 on the truck also had what appears to be a red rudder.
Insomma... tahwida tas-soltu

Wayne don't trust colour profiles , it's the same aircraft ,the rudder is the shadow in the sun and all the photos from the same source.....
J.Fenech wrote:Skyhigh, I think Wayne has a point regarding the '12' as from the picture it looks more similar to the first profile. As to what version of the 109 it is, I am not going into the merit as that is your field of knowledge.
As for the pictures, if they are all correct, they are different aircraft. The first one seems to have made a wheels up landing judging from the props and as Wayne said the second one has an intact prop. Add to this the first 109 being loading on the truck by the british seems to have the white extending to the cowling area behind the prop, thus making the first profile a stronger option.
skyhigh wrote: No it's not the same aircraft , even it's not the first profile either .. because there is no battle holes on the fuselage... sorry mis inf from the site I borrowed ,but still a good diorama...
