Re: Whites models Norman
Welcome onboard my friend!
Nice face mate ... captivating eyes!
Looks that you went retro lately! True these 'oldies' are little gems, I have this one in my stash, plans for an early crusader or Ifrir! Tis is one of Borin's masterpieces and a pleasure to see this in your capable hands, keep them coming mate and would see what you'll be up with the shield!
I am working on the Romeo 75mm Crusader I think you grabbed one this Euro as well?
PS - Any plans for a visit, maybe Easter

Cheers Ivan, the shield will be a dragon design. Have you got the islamic warrior from Borin ? Wondered what the fit of parts/casting is like.

The Islamic Warrior [I huess the same one M.Blank did] is a beauty, I have one in my to do list, fit is OK, might need some filling I guess but let us face it we get the same needs in todays figures as well!
Ah so yours gonna be a Norman, gonna be aggresive with a dragon ... are you keeping the stairs?
Bring sun tan for Easter mate and prepare to taste some 'figalli'[a Maltese sort of almond cake speciality]and an oportunity to see upclose an personal some British WW2 fighters and a newly refurbished Tiger Moth [I know you love this one].
Steve Walker was also talking over 'a maybe pilgrimage' by the Welling Club chaps, would be nice to have a Brit contingent with us!

The stairs are going mate, going to pose him as if he has just stood in a dog crap and title it 'Merde'!Suits the pose eh?
Have ordered the islamic warrior, getting it for about £40 from Sk miniatures, not bad for a 90mmm!
Will look forward to seeing the moth mate, coolest thing ever flying in one. Hardy

Re: Whites models Norman
Cool idea, I do not like the stairs as well, was thinking of a tight path or an edge of a cliff if I gonna do mine one day. You are getting these 90mm at a good price mate, value for money for such masterpieces.
The moth shall be flying condition as well, very soon hopefully. I guess it is a mythical experience to sit in an open cockpit!
By chance do you have any contact with the pal of Oakwood studios, he forgot to pass me his new e-mail last Euro ...

Re: Whites models Norman
Lovely skin tone Hardy and that hand!
I also love the way you are acheieving that overall drab colour effect on textile and material. What mix did you use for that greyishblue material, is it with prussian blue or payne's grey dilution?
Watching when you shall add the poooh

Thanks all. Now starting the shield, just basic painting so far. Will neaten it up when dry and of course begin the weathering. Hardy
