So we had a cowboy as Robin Hood [Kevin Costner] and now we have an Aussie, but when are the directors to learn that Robin Hood was a Brit with a cockney accent

Looks promising and already love the Crusading scenes fighting on the beaches ... will be seeing lots of figures with bow and arrows next year!

I saw this movie yesterday and it was very good, better than I was expecting. When I saw on Saturday that the movie is 2 1/2 hours long, I really cringed as I usually don't like movies that long, but this one just flew by, didn't even seem half that long.

Saturday night on the History Channel, there was a two-hour documentary on the history of Robin Hood with some excerpts from the movie. They talked with Russell Crowe and numerous experts of that time and came up with some good circumstantial evidence pointing to a couple of people that could have been Robin Hood, also some good circumstantial evidence that it could've been a compilation of a few people. Really good documentary of that time period.

The movie is definitely worth seeing on the big screen, some good battle scenes. Best one by far since the 1939 version, at least in my opinion.
