Spot on guess David, it is a Sea Fury, trumpeter 1/48th, with Aires cockpit and wheel wells. Finishing will be extra dark sea grey over sky 1954.

yes it did, and I think it was the fastest piston engined aircraft that went into production.

Joe, it would really be nice if you could finish it as an air racer. With the way you finish your models, it will be absolutely stunning and colourful. Maybe you could do antoher one as a racer if you are keen on doing this in FAA colours.

you are right, sea furies ended up as racer and quite colorful. Not my choice of meat but it is worth considering. This one will definitly be in FAA color

i have also seen another Sea fury in turkish markings and the colour was very orangey. It was also really nice. Very unusual.
