Ray there were no perforated PE just small PE attachments to pre-fabricated hollow brass barrels + plastic ... just to justify the process
But have to say it is very much more complicated to fabricate then any other MG around ...

FINISHED MOST OF THE DETAILING ON THIS ONE. I HAVE TO SAY I WAS NEVER FELT SO DEPRESSED AS REGARDS TO APPLYING RIVETS AS ON THIS ONE. well over 900 revets of 4 different sizes compunded by this hateful and unbearable humid heat every rivet cost me sweat and almost tears.

Looking great Alex, all the detailing has sure paid off. Can't wait to see some paint on it but then i suppose that neither can you. That's when the fun part starts.

finished construction at last and primed the model .
the mudguars where made from brass, ribbing from thin masking tape and then covered in thin adhesive aluminium sheet.
mudguards fixed in place with a lot of @##$%%^&*_ ,headlamps made from brass rod and resin and spare wheel
model primed with the usual plasticote primer
next filling and cleaning where needed and start of paintwork

the model was given a black pre shadeing as guideline to the grey green colour. the model will not be painted in the usual 4bo colour but in the much earlier grey green.
heavily diluted tamiya xf56 acryllic was used as the first dark base, after which tamiya deck tan was gradualy added to the basic colour. this was done in four coats increasing the ammount of deck tan after each coat.
next i will pick out the details such as tools exhaust etc and will start filters washes and general weathering
apologies for the photos today is one of those days when me and my camera are not on speaking terms
