Re: Step by Step building the IJN Yamato
You are the master of miniature. You must have really done an amazing job to get the photos showing such precise detail. Photography will expose any defect you make and they look good even in that size. How are the repairs coming along.

Re: Step by Step building the IJN Yamato
No question, Pec............. you're da man! Excellent work!
May I comment on the white water? In my opinion it's too concentrated and attached to the ships hull.......... what do you think?
Oh....This is a Lego Yamato!!

Re: Step by Step building the IJN Yamato
Truly amazing Lou, this is really impressive but then so are the rest of your ships. I do agree with Noel though, i think that the white is a bit too bright/clean. Maybe break it up a bit. I wish i could make waves like you do, it looks absolutely real.

Waves
Guys thanks for your kind comments.....Noel these are very close up pics so the white surf really comes out and I wanted to create a demarcation between the dark blue and the starke colour of the beast to make it stand out....The Yamato was an large awesome ship with a very very wide berth...so she created a lot of surf when she was just cruising ....this could easily be remedied with a touch of blue paint...I will have a think...you have to see the model in the flesh I think ....As I have alsways said my photography is total crap
will get it it with me next Thursday....

Guys took your advice regarding the surf around the beast...after much deliberation....and the scrutinizing eye of my commanding officer aka Mrs Rina Carabott , I had no option but to submit to her stern demands and do something about the surf issue
Hence the surf was toned down a bit.....must admit it looks much better
Marco wud u believe it li I can't find a revell Fokker triplane !!!!
Nahseb will have to send for it...so if u aviation guys making any orders ordnawli wiehed please

Re: Step by Step building the IJN Yamato
I have one NAN but it is built. If it is any good to you let me know and i shall give it to you. It is still sitting in my mother's house. It dates back to the MAE times, when we used to meet at the MPFA in Floriana. Those were the days!!
