Anyway it looks to me that most people here are from arround Malta? I'm not a world traveler so
i'm not too familar with your area.
I'm in Oregon, USA, a small town of 30k. I've been building models since i was a kid in the 70's.
I stopped for 15 years and started again arround 94, then about 2002 i thought i had quit for good.
A couple of guys convinced me to build again in 2007, so i have been back for only 2 years.

My eyes arn't what they used to be, being an ole fart at 49, so i try to stick with bigger scales.
My favs are German armor, with a ship and plane thrown in once in awhile.
Here is a few projects i completed this year so far.

I see you are a along way from us but , that what these forums are good for.

Im one of the founder of this club ,my main interes is aircraft, but as long as its models and there is history behind I'm interested.

I see you have a very good piece of work there , and after 15 years hey , you given me some relief because I have stopped making models and its past already 10 years now but , Im going to do my best to start.

Things have changed alot since my model building days in the 90's. It seems everyone is so good.
I feel i'm only average now, and not sure if i've got the skills to get much better, but hey thats ok, its alot of FUN!!

I now I now , I thing the way my friends members are building models , it is something that makes you guilty, but I thing these forum is given a good boost , because although we meet every wed here we are 24hr .

And by the way nice to meet you to, we are very glad to have you in our forum, maybe one day you come to Malta and visit our club...

Youre too hard on yourself...you have some lovely dios there...maybe the style is a bit 'too clean' compared to nowadays modelling schools but love your work...

Wow i must say i'm very impressed with the reception you guys give here.
I've never been greeted so well on a forum before.

I had to look on a map yesterday just so i could pinpoint where exactly Malta was.
I knew it was in the Mediterranean, but i didn't realize it was closer to Italy then Greece.

Why is Malta not own by Italy?

Anyway many thanks to you gents for your kind words.
I will put my current WIP in, i could use some suggestion on a more beat up look.

If we were owned by Italy they would be speaking Maltese by now

In the Medieval times we were part of the Kingdom of Sicily and then the reign of Charles V of Spain, but then the Hospitaller Knights took over, then the French of Napoleon came for 2 years and got blockaded in our cities and the English came to end it all and were given our island on a silver plate to be part of their Empire, they stayed here for 200 years and in the 1964 Malta took independence and in 1974 we became a republic!

We are a small nation but you'll find us everywhere on the globe ...

god only knows how much the italians tried to annex us, they did have some base for a claim as malta was part of the roman empire and the inhabitants of the island in those days where considered as roman citizens. but it was not just the italians. any emerging power in the mediterrean tride to ocupy our island and most of them did with the exception maybe of the russian empire and the ottoman turks.
we do not consider ourselves italian, although we are close to italy (and have adopted a lot of their traditions and culture and are 95% catholics) we have our own language which is an old semitic dialect influenced mailny by the pheneocian (lebanese) and to some extent aramaic and hebrew and the inclusion of latin based languages such as italian spanish and french.

That neither the Italians nor germans managed to conquer us in WW2..infact this day marks the day the Ohio (part of a huge merchant convoy) managed to withstand huge attacks and limp into our Grand harbour....just when Malta was running out of supplies and ammo....
