marco you brought back some memories.....
Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad
Once I was on that BAC111 as a flight weight and balance documentation crew.....It had a main wheel burst tyre on take off in Rome which was spotted by Fiumicino tower control and we had an emergency landing priority Red when we arrived in MALTA....i WAS SCARED sh*&^%$£ess....the pilot landed that baby like a dream....
Now the 727 I don't know if it was the one that got lost in the Atlantic....it was always plagued with pressurization problems...
Ive already posted some rare pics of KM aircraft in the forum in another thread about an Air Malta feature....we had all sorts...but for me the workhorse was the B720b.....a real brute force and power aircraft it was.....

PS Marco insejt L RJ 70......the most famous of all KM aircraft.....a city jet..allocated to international European long haul flights ....with four engines designed for a chopper and you couldn't swing a cat sideways in the aisle...and most of the time we had to leave half of the passenger's baggage behind because of weight and capacity problems,
Now that was a plane.....brilliant choice

Ps there's still some of them around rotting away in an airfield and Air Malta is still paying for them !!!!!! Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

That photo as you can see was taken from Jetphotos.net, so if you look up the photographers name youll find the photo with the date Wink

That particular Shell logo design on the bowser, was used in 1961 until it changed in 1971. so it must be the 1960's study
(look at the third one and compare) Wink

Adrian I'm trying to find a photo or photos of a Socata MS.892E Rallye 150ST which was used here in Malta for flying club between 8th June 1981 and 24th July 1993..

In this particular aircraft I took my first flight, back in November 1987, i still remember the feeling that I was going to fly for the first time ,and in a prop plane, what memmory I will never forget....

first it was F-GBKP then 9H-AAY and till now it's for sale in Slovenia S5-DGY...any help... scratch scratch study study
