    One step backwards on this one!! The airbrush/varnish/weathering mix now working well together, and I will have to remove the top layer again and reapply, hopefully with better results...

    i dont quite like the black over spray on the second scratch

    Yes Adrian, that's the problem. I added a tiny drop of black with varnish to apply some shading, but the paint did not dilute with the varnish. It was a MM which I opened very recently but it's straight to the bin. And it's in 1/72nd scale by the way.

    I love it but you have a lot of overspray. Need to adjust the pressure/thinning mix.

    No even on the first. There is green overspray on the light tan. It needs another pass with the tan at the correct pressure and paint/thinnre mix and you will be fine. But the lighter colour is a dead giveaway for overspray.
