could be cause the primer was a bit shiny causing the white not to stick to it. I avoid using matt white alone, instead mix it with semi-gloss and gloss white (Testors, enamels, 1 bottle each of matt/semi-gloss/gloss), found that this avoids the cracking of the matt paint and also improves paint strenght and coverage reducing the amount of layers for complete coverage.

Solved the problem. Humbrol matt white found was thrown in the dust bin and switched to Model Master matt white.

You might still get a problem with this, so add some gloss white to it and thin it properly.

You might try Matt Tamiya Paints works fine to me but you need Tamiya Lacquer Thinner or ISO prop as mixers ... still it is wiser to work thin coats then one thick one at a go, by the way keep this as a norm for all colours and all brands and mediums to avoid problems ...

For those who saw my eurofighter yesterday. As you can see the joint between the wing and the fuselage produce a wide panel line. Do I have to fill it and rescrib it again or leave it as it is?

fill and rescribe it. Leaving it as it is translates to a roughly 2 cm panel line on a real aircraft Shocked

YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET AWAY WITH IT, JUST DO AS YOU WERE TOLD YESTERDAY.

If your model has a gap and step (between wing & fuselage) of 0.3mm in reality this would translate to a gap and step of 14.4mm which I think is a bit too much. Even if this so, your finished product would not look nice.

Hi guys. The milliput is taking ages to get dry. After 3 days it's still soft.

you have to mix them 50/50 exactly. mix them well together. i think its better to do everything all over again. dom't throw away the rest of the mixed milliput so that you can test it weather it has dried or not to prevent you from testing the milliput on your model.

Adrain take at least 5 minutes mixing the two portions till they change the colour to a greenish yellow thing if you use the standard type, the fine type [white] is tricky as both are white.
Personally I prefer more hardner [dark tube] to resin 70/30, as it cures faster ... by the way milliput has a shelf life especially if it was open!
