Thank you guys ... William hope one I see a tank from you, it is a great model to apply some weathering!
Luftiger, MIG pigments are so versatile, to acheive mud you just need a selection of pigments so that you can create a texture and hue of dry to wet mud. Just apply acrylic gel [available from MIG] or white glue, polifiller, some static grass and some snad and stones ... just mix together and voila you'll be applying mud over your tank.
If you need to create fresh mud which shall be darker and wet, just choose a darker pigment, same mix but would avoid stones and grit as fresh mud is more liquidy and just add acrylic gloss varnish ...
Just one tip apply dry mud to the bottom and fresh on top to achieve a more natural effect ...
I highly recommend MIG pigments for their range and quality of pigments, I have used pastels and CMK poders but they are not a comparison with these pigments ...
