    Soldering Photoetch Empty Soldering Photoetch

Post  Dottore Sat Dec 31, 2011 12:42 pm

Looking to get a soldering kit to work on photoetch...anyone come across a good kit (ie not only the soldering gun but complete with the rest of the stuff one needs) or at least a supplier for all the tools needed to get started?

Best wishes for the new year to everyone!

If you intend to start soldering photoetch parts I suggest that you invest in a good quality 'temperature controlled soldering iron' such as the one I used at club. Anastasi & Briffa of St.Venera stock the 'Weller' soldering irons, then you will need the solder, some flux for cleaning and some practice.

Hope I was of some help and am always available for some mentoring.

I am not into photoetch, altough these are also found in aircraft Smile , but I know a thing or two about soldering. You can find images of the soldering kit mentioned in the topic 'Soldring Workshop'.
