SCALE MODEL EXHIBITION 2012 - POST MORTEM

Now that all the models are back home and in their showcases (or in ther boxes under the bed ), i would like to congratulate all the members for the fantastic expo that we had!! in my opinion it was one of the best expos yet. it was packed with awesome models. were surely showed our potential!! we are simply the best, we are simply a band of brothers. the only downside that i can find is that we had no bloody COFFEE!!!!

CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR'S EXPO SO THAT I CAN SEE THE 3 NEW 109F's FROM A CERTAIN OLD TIMER

Well done to everyone for a successful expo, the ambience was great, the crowd was very good and constant considering that the elements were against us and above all the brotherhood that makes the SSM family ... lets start planning for next year especially now that we need to extend the aircraft area to have those much expected 109s : P

Although I wasn't present as much as I would have liked, I really enjoyed this year's event. I echo the ones before me in congratulating the organisers and apologise for not being present during dismantling.

Congrats to all the exhibitors and hope and pray that next year's 109 table will be graced by those eagerly anticipated trio of 109's.

Well done all.....so good to spend 3 days of absolute bliss with my brothers....very good participation....all sections were very well representd...new faces...the enthusiasm absolutely brilliant in all aspects....the venue is simply brilliant and very well planned....the attendance of the general public was really good....One thing that was really rewarding that the visitors spent a lot of time scutinizing and admiring the models....much was achieved....
Once again well done to all...but....and a big but...no coffee ...agree with Proximo here

Agree with all said. Particularly enjoyed the work space! Managed to get two track runs ready! As a pointer I know it was planned but scrapped due to lack of space it would be nice to see an easel and blank pages for visitors to try their hand at airbrushing! For next year!

I came to visit on Sunday.......... and as always the standard of the models is top notch!

The huge battleship was most impressive! Big things always attract the eye are worth exhibiting.

I believe that SSM has found a good base to show off their exhibition and the exhibition itself was well displayed and there is great potential still to be unleashed!

Walking along the display tables and seeing such fine works of art, one can only but feel inspiration...... I have been dormant for a couple of years and the exhibition lit the flame again for me!

Noel, its good to hear that our EXPO has re-lit your scale modelling flame as your pressence and models have always been welcome at our club meetings and EXPOs.

This is the first exhibition with SSM, and can only say, that we had a very good and a unique display of models - SECOND TO NONE.

I fully agree with Noel,as the potential of the venue (Malta Maritime Museum) is still to be unleashed. And in my humble opinion, I think that people are now getting used to having a scale model exhibition down at the South of the island. Of course marketing the exhibition is a must, but that is something that can be planned beforehand.

Ejja Noel, leave the birdies in the cage, and get down to some scale modelling. we would like to see another of your work of art for the next expo.

Hoping to visit around March next year for a couple of weeks - would be great to time visit to coincide with event!

We're about to book holiday slot for our trip to Malta and would be great if I could time it around your show - and maybe bring a model, or two?
