Nice job with the groundwork and figure! I assume you are going to put a mechanized apparatus in this, what is it if I may ask.

Thank you Ivan....... I also like how it turned out! Thanks!
Thanks Joe! Yes, the heaviest thing will be a motorcycle with side car. The rest are figures.

Hope in the future I will make the perfect German subject Paul, the fall of Berlin
But I agree nice to see more German subjects, I think we are the only club in the world that this subject is neglected with all the OD and 4BO we do LOL

I like the set up, it's realy telling a story or an ambush... it's nicely done welldone Noel ...
There is one point that I want to comment about , is the american soldiers, they look to relax or cool call it what you want... but all in all it looks Brillant..

I like it Noel! This was the norm during Normandy though it look really against odds, many poor paras were dropped in different locations and some lost their weapons ...

Thanks Guys,
The diorama depicts 101 para (2 or more) who got lost or were on a reacon mission and came upon a recon unit of the SS Gotz Von Berlichingen. The two figures dressed in black indicate that they have armour.
After the D-Day allied invasion, the Götz von Berlichingen was ordered to Normandy to take part in the efforts to reduce the Allied beachhead. On 11 June, the division first met the enemy in combat. The reconnaissance battalion engaged in combat with the paratroopers of the U.S. 101st Airborne Division near the town of Carentan.
Ivan, during the first drops on 6 June the 101 got lost and even lost weapons, like you said, as did the famous Capt Winters. The 101 encountered only Wermacht units at the start but my diorama shows SS so it is around the 11th June.

LOve the figure painting!
Think the scene really tells a story! I tend to agree a bit with Marco that they seem rather too relaxed the US paras especially one of them, but its nit picking I guess!
Love your ground work too! Top notch!
