Two Me 163 komets

Small update, the welding set is complete. It is salvaged from an old italeri set but most of the detail is home made. Figure to give an idea of size. Two extra gas cylinders.

Small update. This is the disposal container for the hangar. Everything except for the figure of course is scratchbuilt. Hope you like the trash.

Its a date Lou, nothing as impressive as your ships but you can spend some time looking out for particular details. it sure looks busy now with two aircraft and 11 figures. Quite crowded.

Hi Guys, the last set of photos following my visit to the club with the dio. I have taken all your suggestions on board. The red comet has RLM76 paint on both sides, even on the masked areas making it perfectly clear to one and all that the 76 is being sprayed over the red and not vice versa. I also included a first aid cabinet which is hanging on the wall near the lathe and the broom, another of your suggestions. My final experiment will be to close this up in a box, use artificial lighting and see how it fares as a box dio. Will give it a shot and take some pics. Hope you like it and are not sick of seeing the same scene but this is truly the winding up of the project and nothing else will be added or removed.

I was told by both Ivan and Louis to have it boxed. I will give it a shot in the coming days or when i find some suitable lighting.
It all depends on how much of the detail will be lost to view. I took too much work to hide anything away from view. each section of the model was given all the care it deserved and all of it is important not just the planes, or the figures or any other specific part. So I will see how it will look and then judge.......but why is this so exciting.

I think it is awesome and please test the box dio option, it will benefit more then you think ... Nothing will get lost anzi will please more the idea to scrutinize detail, one suggestion I think it still need a red bucket paint near the plane, underneath it or on that step ladder ... will give it more the idea ... Important it willbe on the front of the dio not the back ... What do you think?

I think that you mean a blue/grey tin of paint. there is one open on the paint table at the back of the hangar but if you think there is scope for another one i will include it. Strictly speaking it does not make sense because the paint is mixed on the table and not near the spraygun. I will think about it.
