Konig Battlesip 1914 - 1919

My next project which I already started is the WWI battleship KONIG. A short history of this vessel.There were 4
Konig class battleships and these were commissioned in response to Britain's HMS Dreadnought. The ship was launched in 1919 and took an active part in The Battle of Jutland. All 4 ships survived the war and laid idle at Scapa Flow. All 4 ships including The Konig were scutttled in 1919.

Initial works on the model . Interesting feature in this vessel is that it has 5 Gun Turrets ...one in the midships

This going to be interesting, I like the design of this monsters ... any plan for a particular set up Lou? Battle of Jutland?

yes Ivan just before The Battle as planning to put it in a small diorama secluded in a fjord being refurbished before battle....Hope I will be able to make it as I am visualizing it in my mind

Looking forward to this Lou, small historical notes as it was always introgue to me, so historians say Jutland was a stalemate ... More losses if not mistaken on the RN then the Huns but the germans never went put again to menace the RN ... Can someone highlight better this battle ... As it seems every reading I made were all biased ...

Here's some pics of progress made on the Konig....unfortunately I cannot airbrush at the moment because of the Bronchitis I have. Turrets all done and dusted . Ship's hull complete airbrushed and weathered with torpedo nets installed( made from that thread string you buy from the optician's held around your neck to hold your specks)

This is a dry fit of the forward and aft superstructures...masts just tacked on...now the headache begins....Rigging it's so complicated
