MY MESSERSCHMITT ME109 G6
Finally I finished my Me109 G6. It’s my first attempt in figure painting and don’t ask me what colours I used because I tried them all!! All the other accessories are scratch built. i used the Aries detail set for the 109's engine and cockpit. from the time i took these photose i continue to work on the ground work. i lightened the planks because they were a little too dark and also added a couple of jerry cans too. i will post more photos when later on.

Impressive to say the least and the fact that you DARED yourself paint a figure to compliment the aircraft, you deserve an APPLAUSE!!! Bravo!!!!

Re: MY MESSERSCHMITT ME109 G6
What a beauty!
Prosit Chris, we missed you and your work at Ta Qali, but looks like that you managed to pull out a real awesome work!
First impression the fig for a flynut who never done a dolly, looks good. My reservations are at the wooden boxes and planks, they look though starck like they were varnished, normally wood would be natural coloured, weathering tend to go to apale greyish raw umber colour ... but surely you can tend to these for sure!
PROSIT mate!

Aw siehbi well done. i like ll you did there and the figure looks good too. At least you did not repeat my mistake and opened up the cowl with the fuel tank in place. It looks excellent and you chose a great scheme too. thanks for the pics. We missed your lovely work at the expo man! Not the same without you!

Great job on the 109! Looks so realistic, love the detail painting on the plane and the detail parts around the diorama.

Re: MY MESSERSCHMITT ME109 G6
Thanks Chris, if you need some good reference on the Ju88, try to get into Large Scale Planes in the Works in Progress forum. there are some excellent builds there. One of them went into special detail since he worked in a museum where they are restoring a Ju88 so he had first hand access to all the detail.
