I don;t know if you got my PM Ray but she is magnificent. Are those markings on the wings painted? They made one hell of a difference. she looks great Ray, prosit and well done, nothing short of your usual high standard. go give them hell.

She's a stunner, maybe the N things need to be of a darker pigment but could be the foto not showing the contrast?
Is it dried up to base? Ghamilt goldfish fl-ilma?

Thanks mate......the Nips were treated like the face I'm afraid, as darker would have lost all contrast....they are shadowed on and beneath the aerola
Forgot to mention I got the same tremours of the thong while I painted them
Re resin/water well the first layer is fully dry BUT yesterday's top up/overlap IS NOT & STILL THE SAME CONSISTENCY and it is full to the brim I must have miscalculated the resin/hardener YES THEY JINXED HER ALLRIGHT
What am I gonna do??????? I'm gonna try and pull it with the syringe and re apply the top layer again will see what happens
Sent you the email with nameplates dimensions but forgot to add my address
I'll send it now

Re: Butterfly Princess 80mm
ray dont rush remember that when the layer of resin is thinner it takes longer to dry. so i suggest you leave it for at least 24 hours in a dust free environ.Ray wrote:iCocker wrote:She's a stunner, maybe the N things need to be of a darker pigment but could be the foto not showing the contrast?

Re: Butterfly Princess 80mm
Alex, I left a sample of yesterday's top up and as I said it remained the same consitency
So I scraped away ama as I could, but left some "markings" on the surface fixed a rim of black telephone wire around the basin's perimiter with super glue to deepen the basin since obviously I managed to fill to the brim yesterday sanded it off repainted the rim with black mixed another batch of resin to which I added a bit more hardener this time diluted the resin with Vallejo bronze green, since transparent as it was, my "markings" would show beneath and poured it on again obviously managing to fill it to the brim again hux
If it does not SEEP OUT of the rim it looks OK except where it overlaps the rear of the leaf which diluted as it is with Vallejo's bronze green appears "murky where so very shallow"
Well the positive thing about it is, that DESPITE ALL THIS UNWANTED AGGRO, I STILL MANAGED NOT TO SWEAR EVEN ONCE and that DEFINITELY IS A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT
Having a nap coz I'm night

So you think you're the originator of this???????
My nephew Jeremy have said it before you
AND DO NOT ANSWER ME HERE COZ YOU WOULD BE HIGHJACKING THIS PRECIOUS THREAD OPEN ANOTHER THREAD ON ANYTHING ELSE AND NAME IT YOU KNOW WHAT
As you ALL can see, I'm REVVED UP after my nap caz the newly applied resin, after a little over 4hrs of settling LOOKS/FEELS PROMISING ON THE SAMPLE, so it should be FIRM & DRY on the Princess's basin tomorrow afternoon
Thank You God Almighty, I do not deserve so much GOOD for I am a Sinner

Re: Butterfly Princess 80mm
Morn ALL....
End of night duty
After 14hrs of setting, resin/water getting firmer on the sample
My only regret is the murkiness of the newly applied resin and especially where it is so evident on the leaf
Well I guess I have to learn to live with it as it is now nothing I can do

Re: Butterfly Princess 80mm
You changed your avatar!!! Great!
Version 1: Illallu! Tal genn man. Excellent! This is really a stunner and as usual you pulled it off again! Great painting job and the hair add much animation. THe wings dress the whole model and are very well painted. Great paint job!
Version 2 (the honest opinion): THe little addition on the wings made a lot of difference! THey broke the monotonous design and give a sparkle of life. Now imagine if you had a display of nice colours. THe hair is also well executed and I personally like the colour. However, her skin tone and design corresponds to the underside of the wings giving her a drab effect without any contrast. I personally would have chosen contrasting and vivid colours to give that punch to the viewer. I personally do not like that Yellow/Green skin tone colour next to the colour blue as I had said earlier. It's not easy to pull off Blue and Green next to each other as these two colours are not contrasting.
Anyway.... this is my opinion and I'm sure you are proud of what you did because after all it is nice..........it's just that I really expected much more from a true master like yourself!
Best regards
Noel

Apart from what I said in previous posts, this is turning out really nice. Love the face area and hair colour:). All in all it wasn't an easy subject to handle and I think you did really well. I have to see it at Euro cause I'm working on Wednesday. Cya

Ray, what about a photo from above, looking directly down on it? That way we can see the wings, the top of her body, the flower and leaf in the basin, etc....
Great princess!
