Been there too, it is not all rubbish. There are some of Ray's cars, crash helmets and bikes and those are worth seeing. The bikes are amazing and those cars are up to his usual level. Some interesting boats too. There is also someone who is building aircraft to an acceptable level. He could be really good with some decent coaching. What i mean is that he has good construction and also painting. As for the AFV's there are big dios but although you will not get fed up seeing them, they somehow lack something. Seen one, seen 'em all sort of feeling. Took me a bit longer than 4 minutes but not that much. I think that their level is improving, definitely over last year's. Too short a time spent in there to charge 1 Euro!!!

The dios surely lack something ... a logic thing that Shep Paine keep on preaching a story and common sense, the guy who build them still thinks that size makes all the difference, he should ask a woman one day tongue !
Was surprised that there are Ganajz cars, are you sure about that?

MSMM exhibition Empty My 4 min...

Were spent looking at the aircraft in fact...which I thought were decent but then again I'm not into wingy things so I couldnt comment.

AFVs...don't go there...OOTB painted models with not even a wash and silver painted tools and guns...

Dios...huge scenes which say nothing to the viewer...

    Wooden furniture....yes i said furniture...

    Toy soldiers...not figures...toy soldiers...

Naval...the usual Nappa boats which are prob the only decent exhibit...

Helmets I saw no appeal in...but the cars as we mentioned earlier are lacking in our club...

Yes Ivan, the bulk of my time was spent talking to him! Before throwing everything into the bin, i try to at least compare with the year before and they did have improved models there. Last year and especially the year before were total crap!

Ray I don;t attend that often and many times i do not know what goes on between members. But Ray was ok so something must have gone wrong somewhere. We went abroad together many times and he was excellent company. I am sure he has his reasons. Some people are willing to forget an argument whilst others cannot. However, it is a pity for we lost an excellent modeller and a great asset to the club seeing he was the only one to build cars and bikes.

It's his choice ... hope he'll be happy, as for club matters I think we are mature enough that what is personal remains outside our core and premises and modelling matters from the door inwards, if people do not understand this it's their fault and loss not SSM's, we are not the good shephard seeking the lost lamb anymore, we leave that work to the all Mighty ... by the way now I understand the strength they got, their president mentioned in his news feature ... good for them and hope they improve one day as the road is long ...very LOOOOOONG!

Don't waste your time discussing a loser Smile

I am saying this with great responsibility, SSM never and never had any quarelles with Ray and he chose to leave SSM only on personal basis, irrelevant what he says.

Granted Brian, but since SSM never had any arguments with Ray Aquilina k/a Gidimajs & Ganajs, WHATEVER/IRRELEVANT OF WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED WITH WHOEVER, the strenght & honour of being a HUMAN BEING SHOULD/MUST PREVAIL because switching allegiances to the "modelling pretenders" is BACK STABBING those who loved him as a BROTHER, during & even after he left SSM at HIS OWN WILL & he knows it so well!

I am not wasting one more breath on him believe me, & will definitely let him be to face himself & his actions!!

RayF you still sound like a dictator ... lol!

You are right feeling this way, but finally no one is bound to be an SSM brother for life! He is free to chose to leave the brotherhood ...

It is his choice so be it ... what I do not like will be silly roamers and back stabbing especially from their comittee, it has been ongoing for enough time now and personally I feel we should not waste time anymore on such silly business, we have our core duty as modellers and will keep hanging on to it, we might have lost a brother but we have gained a good number of fresh prospective souls to keep our faith and destiny as SSM ... so be it! sunny

i saw pictures online, there is too much clutter on the tables. Their aircraft are either very clean.. or too (badly) dirty! but i wudnt say they suck. the typhoon reminds me of catania a bit... ground crew kneeling by/facing the aircraft, but no pilot inside! Laughing
