Some more progress pics.
Here goes:
A close view of the range finder mounting.
A 10mm diameter aluminium rod, required to produce the range finder arms.
Finishing off the first arm.
The two range finder arms, ready for the next step.
The range finder arms, fitted in place.
The access door, located at the rear of the mounting.
A view of the progress so far.
Starting off with the timber flooring.
Now that things are moving along, I think that I shall be able to post more pictures during this week.

Good morning my SSM Brothers,
Some more updates, Here goes:
The range finder nearing completion.
A front elevation.
The foot rail, required for the ship's personal to perform maintenance duties. This enables the men to walk the whole length of the platform.
Another view.
A view from the side.
The stowage cabinets. These were located just behind the range finder.
Four brass rods. 0.7mm diameter. These shall be the voice tubes, which were located just behind the range finder housing.
The first voice tube well under way. Note the copper wire wound around the brass rod. This shall simulate the flexible tubing which covered the voice tube itself.
The four voice tubes.
The final stages for the voice tubes and the first set if wires required for the Admiral's bridge, electrical panels.
The finishing process on the electrical panels, making part of the Admiral's bridge.
The first set of wires in place.
A close up view - sorry a bit blurred - my camera is not that sophisticated.
Shall be posting more pictures next week.

Good morning all,
Hello to all those fine guys who looked in and left these gentle and kind words.
At the moment the electrical panel assembly, is at a halt, as big brother Oliver, shall be giving me some lessons as how to weather the panels and creating highlights, using oil paints.
I view of this, I embarked on another mission - the ship's boats.
Here goes:
The boats shall be made from styrene sheets, and covered with timber planks where needed.
1)- The main frame shall be made from 1.5mm thick styrene.
2)- The other frames shall be made from 0.75mm thick styrene.
3)- The covering shall be made from 0.5mm thick styrene.
4)- The boat's deck and working platform shall be covered with 3mm x 0.5mm thick light teak strips.
The ship's boat compliment was made up of the following:
1 - 3 x Motor work boats.
2 - 1 x Motor pinnace.
3 - 1 X Motor launch.
4 - 2 x 11 7 1/2 meter cutter.
5 - 2 x 8 meter cutter.
6 - 2 x 5 meter rowing boats.
7 - 1 x 3 meter rowing boat.
8 - 40 x cork and canvas dinghies.
The overall length of the motor work boat under construction, is 16cm.
A good view of the boats - picture taken from the Kagero 3D book.
A plan of the motor work boat in 1:72nd scale.
The ship had three of these boats, so I have to prepare three main frames.
The first main frame under way.
Putting in the lining angles for the rest of the frames.
The frames in place.
A view from the rear.
The front deck piece in place, together with the rest of the crew's working platform.
A view showing the bottom.
A linear view from the front.
More updates next week.
See you all tomorrow.

Lovely work Paul, these sub assemblies are kits in their own right, they are stunning. Well done, it is still a carcass but looking really great. I love the neatness of your work.
