Noel i love the way you make your chipping and scratches. Can you please remind me whether you use a sponge or just paint them individually by brush, i love the way you do it. It looks totally real.

Thanks Tancred!
Yes...AK..... and I like them! The weathering for this model is a new approach from my usual style of weathering. Previously, I used to apply a wash and pigments..... now I'm just building the weathering by layers from AK products.
Let's see how it goes...

Looking fantastic, just like the real thing, the more weathering you apply the better it is looking. I love your methods!

Re: Panzer I A - 95% DONE!!!!
prosit Noel I use them too now ....they do stuff for ships as well....but one has to be very careful, because of the scale and you tend to get carried away and overdo it...so I used them sparingly....imam vera prosit...

Really good...
Tink it's your best work so far...
Personally though I think the corpse's back looks a bit too stiff and should be a bit arched backwards...just my opinion...
Love the weathering!

Re: Panzer I A - 95% DONE!!!!
Yay an update! Listen Noel, just judging by the photos i have just some comments to make.
- The machine gun barrels are the same colour as the tank, i guess they should be gunmetal. If they are then it must be the photos and just ignore this comment.
- The dead guy. You painted him as if he was alive. A dead corpse changes colour and is not a healthy and lively looking pink, the docs at our club can vouch for this but i have seen some corpses in my life and they are definitely greyer. The more time passes the greyer they look and the stiffness of this guy should indicate that a considerable amount of time has passed. The blood would also be less reddish and blacker, much darker when blood dries up it is very dark indeed.
- his knee is way too clean for the wound he has and the fact that his uniform is torn means that he has been hit in the knee, paintwork there should show more damage.
Just my 2 cents worth

Re: Panzer I A - 95% DONE!!!!
Thanks doc...... I like it too... it's a totally different approach from the usual weathering process that I normally follow.Dottore wrote:Tink it's your best work so far...

Love the weathering!
Dottore
About the corpse...... he is meant to be stiff. He entered the stage of rigor mortis. However, with hind sight I would have done it as per your suggestion but that goes with experieance!
