Re: Ka-Mi finished...
Brilliant work Doc... all the effects are subtle when considered alone however when combined the effect on the model is tremendous.
I think this is something we wing nuts should experiment more with...

wingy weathering...
It has been long my opinion that wingy modellers in our club are a bit too conservative. The Spanish school of modelling shows some tremendous examples of how to weather planes effectively. But it all goes down to personal taste in the end...But after all planes DID GET filthy and weathered esp in WW2...
Thanks for comment.

Hello
I've been preaching for so long...if I'm not mistaken I've added a link or whatever to a sublimed weathered Zero on the tips & techniques if I'm not mistaken
But I have to be very careful how I go about it as it seems the Wing Nuts are the most......

Re: Ka-Mi finished...
Beautiful weathering job! Very realistic and I am keeping an eye on this for my armor, may even try it on my sub in a drydock diorama. Look so much more realistic with the subtle effects.

Re: Ka-Mi finished...
Great weathering, so realistic, I am saving some of the photos to print out as a guide when I paint my armor. Also just finished going through all the videos from the link that you posted, very informative, saved some of those as well.

Re: Ka-Mi finished...
One question Dottore, how do you choose what colour of filter to use? Does it depend on the underlying colour or the vehicles' surrounding terrain?

Filters....
Mostly depend on the underlying base coats and what you are trying to do with the filter ie for example tie in the colours of a three tone cammo, tone down a bright finish, give a warm shade to a light colour.
These days we have it easy as there are numerous ready made enamel products which are made for specific colours and uses...brown for Russian green, blue for panzer grey, neutral filter for nato 3 tone etc. Just go thru the various AK, Ammo, or Wilder products and pick your choose!!!
Thanks for your comments.

Bravissimu Doc Roe
You've climbed the ladder quite well & although you are a slow producer (look who's talking ) it is definitely QUALITY versus quantity thru & thru from your workbench
Kudos for the step up in attaining the Silver status this year
Keep at it at will
