Hi everyone, since no one has posted a topic in this section yet, I thought I would show my version of ModelCellar's 1/32nd Werner Voss which I finished earlier this year Laughing

He is to be mounted on a base together with his Albatros DIII which will be my brother Joseph's task........we plan to shoot some in-progress pics of the DIII tomorrow and upload asap to keep this forum alive and flying ama we can Mad Twisted Evil

    Warmest Regards........

Alex, you're right but, since its a pilot and the figure section would be brimming with work in the very near future, I thought I'd stack Werner here and let him wait his DIII in solitude Twisted Evil

Wow Ray, that looks great as usual. I think that it is going to be one hell of a sight next to the Albatross. Should be a masterpiece, the figure looks great, a very natural pose indeed.

Thanks Brian, you're too kind mate.........I thought you've already seen him at club or Shocked ?

Re pose, well he was sculpted by Mike Good for ModelCellar along with some other fine "WWI rodeo fighters", so from someone who's 2nd name is Good, what would you expect Twisted Evil ?

Hey, seeing your decent figures (I applaud you for taking that leap way back then.....wish the other aircraft nuts would do the same) its a shame that you're not into WWI aircraft, as these pilots from the above sculptor & manufacturer, are real gems in 1/32nd scale........but having said that, everyone to his own likes and dislikes Evil or Very Mad

    Cheers........

Ray, Mike Good has also sculpted some nice WWII pilots too. He is really great. The pilot i have in the leather outfit with the Me262 was done by him. Trouble is i replaced the head and this is not of the same level as the rest of the figure. here are some pics of that pilot with his original head. I had to reuse him and replace him with another. I have also painted for a friend of mine a limited edition figure of a mustang pilot getting into the plane (the one i won a competition with) and also a really nice Fleet Air Arm pilot in a 50's uniform. All of them are really nice. You can tell he is a master.

Yep Brian, Mike Good is GOOD Laughing

He's also a master of 1/48th scale pilots.........the German WWI Wedgie Joseph and me did together has two of the most intricate 1/48th scale pilots I've ever seen.........

Great model as always, with a very decent pilot (head looks ok to me) and great pics with that sky backdrop are a blast!!!
