Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
Thanks Ray, that was just the problem, the weather was too nice for the rest of the clan to want to stay indoors, going out = less modeling time. i love a stormy weekend, when is the next one??!!!

Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
Thanks Ray, i think you have some guys there at work who really know their stuff where the weather is concerned. Whe it is going to be a good modeling weekend, let me know, it will boost my morale. That is the only real modeling time i have and would have been plannning for it all week. I hate having to go out with all the rest of the local mob to 'enjoy the sunshine'.

Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
Thanks to the weather, i have continued working on the model. i completed the detailing of the cockpit sidewalls. this included some more consoles and switches and wiring. i also made the throttle and fuel console. This is entirely scratchbuilt from aluminium sheeting, brass and plastic. The front pit is taking shape finally. By the way, Marco, thanks for the details. I still have to figure out how to place the cannon just behind the pilot and include all the firing hardware.

I dont Know if the fishermen were right or not, but I do know what I see here...I think the old Revell's Kit will become one of the most desirable builds ever done before!!!

Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
This weekend's work which is not that much when you consider this brilliant modeling weather. Here is the RHs side console with all the controls. Also the seat. This was made from an old Revell Me109 seat which was beaten to shape. It still needs sanding down but the filler, primer is not dry yet. The kit seat is shown near the one i made.

Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
Any superlatives are wasted on your meticulous handling of the scratchbuilt items. You made that stock seat, appear more mediocre then it really is
Great progress mate and slowly but surely you will get there
