Re: LE RICHELIEU
Prosit Wigi, really magnificent, and for me a harbour scene is one of the best vignettes I can see depicted for a ship. It is a reminder of the good old days, watching the men at work in Dock1 on my way to school ...
My I just add a 'tiny' idea Lou, I know that you are showing this ship harboured in NewYork, being updated to go back to war. But unfortunetly we know that, and only the trucks, signs in english and sailors uniform look american, but not easy to understand, especially due that the ship has the tricolor and would mislead viewer that the harbour could be anywhere...so why not include the American flag in theharbour area, that would tie up the idea more, apart we all know that americans are very patriotic and would put the stars and strip prominent especially during war periods! I know you placed the flag on the small ships as well but I think you need one on land [building] to mark the place ...
PROSIT Wig!

Re: LE RICHELIEU
tANKS GUYS FOR YOUR KIND COMMENTS.....YES IT IS A GOOD IDEA Ivan if you notice the tug which is A Brooklyn class tug, cargo ships and the admiralty barge visitig the ship all sport the American flag denoting that the scene is in a New York Yard....but I will think about it.....
The name plate will also denote that the ship is in NYC Before leaving for Europe....
Thanks just the same anfd glad u liked it....6 months it took to complete....

Re: LE RICHELIEU
Infact I noticed and noted that Lou, and agree that most of your harbour boats sport a star and strip, but personally for the 'man in the street' I think a flag or a USA warbonds poster on any building, would give a message before you read any captions ... yet again it's a personal opinion and would just be an additional to an allout masterpiece.
Keep them coming and what's next?
Ivan
