Re: LVG's Lt.Weymar
It's too late now since Joseph stole the LVG while I was at a mandatory meeting at workNoel Petroni wrote:Ray mela you did not dig the rigging into the coat?
There is only minimal contact & I'll simulate that with a stroke of highlight
Noel, Marco answered your question re that little propeller really cool & wished I could have played with it while trying Weymar on the wheel

Re: LVG's Lt.Weymar
I like it! Prosit!
However..... I don't agree leaving the coat and the trousers and the boots the same colour. I think if you put in some different colours it will look nicer in my opinion.
Also, the hand holding the cane .... I don't like the painting there.
What would you do without me!

In fact, I think the trousers are to be the same colour as the tunic.
But I agree with you that the figure doesn't do the pics justice

Re: LVG's Lt.Weymar
HE IS READY @ LAST
Pics TAZ-ZIBEL
Some minor flaws aside and not having painted anything in the last 7 months I'm quite satisfied with the result as he's looking quite a Dandy
Special Thanks to Stephen for providing me with invaluable points re sculpting the folds on the right arm & mostly for providing me with the paint mixes for jacket & breeches & saving me time from looking for mine (which he also gave me when I painted Werner & Richtofen) under ALL my SURROUNDING RUBBLE....My God the paint bottles KEEP closing the distance to land on my lap
The coat's mix was the same basic mix as the breeches, but darkened a bit more & then highlighted with Ochre instead of Confederate Grey to give a different tone
God Willing, tomorrow he climbs on that wheel, and VOILA........he performs his Balancing Act FOREVER

Re: LVG's Lt.Weymar
Wow man, that is going to compliment the plane and how!!! Let us see the combination, he looks great but lost without his wheel to stand on. At the moment the poor guy does not have a wheel to stand on.

Re: LVG's Lt.Weymar
Love it, Ray!!! Prosit!
I see you took my advice re the colour of the trousers and coat... well done. Also, I noticed you fixed the bad paint job on the hand... bravo!
All in all.... excellent paint job and I especially like the boots.
It is going to look great with the plane......... Question: Who gets to keep the model at the end.... you or your brother?
