    Am I on the right track? too deep? too wide?

    The most important thing is not to widen the panel lines. Deepening them is ideal because you will have space for washes later on after painting and not filled easily by the paint but this should be done within reason. As sky high said, photographs do enlarge.

    Thanks all.
    Will bring the model at the club. I think I have widen them a little bit but I got the feel of the tool now.
    their are very small boxes to engrave and even some approx 1mm circles. are these done with a puncher?
    J.fenech and skyhigh, have we met at the club? still getting used to the names Smile

    Judging from the pic, seems like you did a great job. That panel looks great and really neat too.
