Thanks very much for your over praise, I am realy blushing,

I owe all my knowledge to my fellow SSM brothers as without their constant support and advice I would have never advanced in my modelling skills Smile Smile.

Alex, that is a good question but I think that it will be entered in the aircraft section. I don't think that it fits as a diorama? or for the figure section?

That would be great entered in two classes on the same day in the same competition lol!

I'm imaging either you leave a note to the judges and tell them "when ready with this beast please put it in the figures/aircraft class" or else you can do it yourself (if we're not ordered out like Euro) and when they're ready judging it in one class, you rush and place it in the other class lol!

Well you have to leave a sign on the other table for the other judges, which reads "awaiting Voss flying his DIII" lol!

Aleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeex ahfirli for taking the mickey but I'm SO HAPPY this morning after emerging from the Doc as I'm due for work next Tue the 8th Night and I've been out of work since last Sat afternoon Laughing

What an excellent team effort. the finished product is just perfect, a lovely aircraft complimented by an expertly paitned figure. The figure is brilliant also and its pose is great. Prosit to both you guys, that should turn a couple of heads. Joe i love the B?W photos, it looks absolutely real in those pics, try and use photoshop or something and give them a sepia effect, they will look even better. Cheers to both and good luck.

Ray your Werner is wonderful but Joseph is competing for the limelight with that plane...just awesome!

    Very well done guys!!!

    Dottore

PS I missed your previous post Ray...re Gator Glue...I read about its greatest quality online...the fact that it doesnt dry too quickly so it gives you time to position it at will but then dries solidly in 30min. I introduced it to the SSM disciples cat

I missed out on these photos before.

Prosit Joseph, Surprised there are no words to describe your work, just fantastic, and what about the finish, have'nt seen anything like for a long time, ( my appoligies to the rest).

With such work, nobody can deny that we are the best club on the Island.

    Well done Joseph once more.

Absolutely stunning model! It is so realistic. A friend of mine sent me this model that he got in a trade, he's not much into WWI and he knows I like that era. I hope I can do 1/2 as good as this!

    Thanks, I definitely will.

Who made the details for your markings and also for the woodgrain? There was recently a good article on Hyperscale on painting your own wood grain with oils, but your decals looks so good and pretty realistic.

All markings are Spada decals with a bit of touch-up, wood grain is also from Spada and can be found from Mr Kit, USA.
