I will try to find out the exact size but according to the machinegun itself, the length cannot be more than 2.5mm. Where did you get the 14cm length from? This is not a 20mm shell.

if it's an oerlikon 20mm FF i'm working it to 14.54 cm

SSM the BEST in the WORLD

Sorry guys no modeling this weekend, very busy with work, no time for anything else for the time being. This is very sad but first things first. By the way Ray, i will only be pulling your leg.

Some more work at last, this weekend was good for modeling and i have continued work on the Bf110's. I have noticed that the revell fuselage is wrong in cross sectional shape and this weekend's work is just addressing this problem. There is a spacer on the top of the fuselage to widen it and milliput and other fillers run along the lower edges of the fuselage to change it shape into a more squarish section. Here goes.

Excellent job on reshaping the fuselage! Looks like there was a lot of work involved in getting the shape correct and smoothed out. Can't wait to see how this one turns out!

The extent that we go to correct even the minimal of errors which sometimes are concealed to the "casual eye" makes SSM a very rare breed indeed, a breed that you projects so excellently on all fronts!!!

Time for an update. Absolutely glorious modeling weather. No pope but great, not-to-go-out weather. I have finished adjusting the shape of the fuselage and started working on the surface detail. The entire main fuselage (except for the nose which will be treated separately) has been scribed. I also finished the wing root fairings. These are slightly raised panels. I did these in the same way i had done the ones on the revell 109 since it worked well. the area to be raised was masked off and layer after layer of primer/filler spray built up till i got a nice ridge or raised area. Enough talking and here are the pics.

Inspiring work to say the least Brian.......welldone again and again bro!!!

I promised to take a look at your FW on LSP but did not have the time yesterday. I shall try to do that today. I hope that you will like it here and that you will find it helpful. As Ray aptly pointed out, it was glorious modelling weather so i took the opportunity and did some paintwork. Well not exactly all today but did a lot of good progress. In the following photos, the revell (mostly scratchbuilt)parts are the top ones, the ones below those are the dragon parts.
