Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
I wonder...Where are you going to put them when they are finished...
Your display case...are full of models...No space left..
Excellent work Brian. I think Dragon seems a bit poor compared to your Revell's work.

Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
Thanks for the compliment Alex. Good to hear from you again. The Dragon model is excellently researched and i only needed to add a few bits here and there and of course wiring and plumbing but otherwise, it is very accurate and i copied most of the stuff off it except for the difference betweent he equipment for the two marks of 110.

Here are the final photos of the revell 110 cockpit detail before closing it up. The dragon model is now closed up and this is to follow. The glue is drying just now.

I still cannot understand how or who came with that idea of installing those cannons between the gunner , I thing if he was still alive after the war , for sure his ears went blank for sure... and by the way Brian exellent job in the cockpit...

Great work on the cockpit, the gunners seat looks most realistic.

Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
Thanks guys, Marco i gave up trying to fit them in the postion between the radar operator's seat and the pilot's position. I tried a lot of combinations but physically they just don;t fit so i installed them in the normal way they were installed. The one at Hendon had a pair of cannon mounted just like that. The mounting brackets and firing mechanisms are still in place but the cannon have been removed. The canopy still has the holes from which the cannon barrels protruded.

A couple of shots of the Revell 110 before spraying an undercoat. You can see all the adjustments to the general shape in the form of milliput and filler. The nose is glued in place.

No but the fuselage is prepared and i love to think that i have arrived at that stage which unfortunately is still way off. Some wishful thinking never hurt anyone.

Excellent work so far, the detail you are putting into these is just mind blowing. Looking at the Milliput and Bondo, you can really see how much you needed to reshape the fuselage on the Revell, an incredible amount of work!

Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
That is absolutely great! Someday you will have to do one like Rodney Williams did with one of his 1/32 Corsair's where he painted one side and left the other side and the plastic, resin, and filler.

Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
As usual fantastic detailed work Brian, my only query are those MG34s? If you are planning an open nose would it be ideal to change the plastic barrles with ready drilled and detailed brass ones, I use this company RBModels, http://www.rbmodel.com/index.php?action=products&cat=c_bm&sub=35B
The only thing the ones available are 1/35 ...
