My 1/5th share/effort for the upcoming W.N.Trophy 2010 AMT recieved the first paint splashings of many more yet to come

Eyes and face (up to basecoat + highlights ONLY) are ready and I'll try and bring it over to club this eve

I'll post some pics asa the photographer gets some decent lessons

Managed some pics

The first two are in the early stages of eye detail and base coat. The 3rd, 4th and 5th are as it is up to now, that is base coat plus highlights. 6th, 7th and 8th are the same but with camera set to Auto instead of Incandecent light as the previous three, and only AutoAdjust on Photo Editor.

Still experimenting but I think that with the camera set on incandescent light is slightly better

Apart that I will FIRE the photographer if he does not improve by the end of this figure, I will post some of my earlier work (something which I started a while ago in order to show the gradient/learning curve in my painting) to COMPENSATE for this LOUSY photography

Yes you're right Will, I should have continued the Piper, but a wild night out on Fri didn't help on Sat ALL day and besides, I had to spend overseen looooong spells at work whicha agin didn't help at all

Hope that I will resume where I left off (the face), later in the afternoon

Moving on to the hair and sideburns

No pics as yet will try after hair is dyed

The first set of squarish pattern painting (dreading of how MANY more squarish pattern painting to come namely Tartan and the socks) was done before I came to work hair and sideburns are also ready

Promise that I'll shoot some pics by the week's end, when the whole bonnet would be ready

Bonnet is ready, save for some tweaking of the ostrich feathers

Moved on to the knapsack and rolled blanket, with the white leather webbing in the painting process

Yep still RELUCTANT to stop and shoot pics fearing I might turn and shoot the photographer in the face

Just before I go back to work I managed these and as Brian said, LOUSY are better then NOTHING

Ray they are not bad at all. I know that they cannot beat seeing the real thing but one can already see the amazing work you have done on that face. Truly impressive and they guy now had a great expression. If the figure had feelings, i am sure he would be glad that you are painting him. Lovely haversack too!!

im no expert but the photos do show the excellent paint detail.
as is the norm from you figgy guys
im sure that this will be another great rendition and im not just saying this for the sake it.

nothing more to add, just looking forward to see it in the flesh at the club.
