Hangar Ceiling , including lights completed...this is a dry fit...here's how it was done...Thanks David ....now the fun starts populating
the hangar with aircraft...equipment and personnell

Finally got the wiring system all done...so many friggin wires... got them going first time Yeay !!!
Lights can be dimmed accordingly ....

Its the real thing Lou, cannot emphasize enough how nice it is. Just one word of advice, if you are using self adhesive strips of LED's for the ceiling lighting make sure you fasten/glue them in place. Don't rely on the sticky glue on the backside, i have had such strips sag and fall especially when in use because the heat generated will loosen the glue. Don;t take that chance it will be impossible to fix afterwards.

Thanks for your kind comments, Brian....yes already seen to the problem ...I lined the edges of the tape with superglue and the lights will be softened as well got a remote dimmer contraption....or whatever it's called ...lol

wiring system complete...3 different circuits ...island....hangar and sponsons.....Dry fit ...top Deck...now all finished and weathered...most of the markings had to be airbrushed as decals nearly drove me insane...thankyou Mr Trumpeter for such crappy decals....all crumbling to shreds

Stern more or less complete......leading edge has to be refined...added some rust stins for more realism.....decal has to be moved a tad to starboard and the USS has to be removed.

Progress maybe I will get this beast ready soon....Hull more or less ready minus elevators safety nets...the island will go on easier....few more stuff to add on...Had to rebuild fresnel lense from scratch....kit's offering way too incorrect...

Island and surroundings, starboard side more or less ready....now the fun begins..populating the top deck with aircraft.... yellow gear and deck crew....will soon finish this beast and it will be lit up like a Christmas tree

Not yet complete another 6 phantoms F4U's to go on...still on their way from Australia ..taking quite some time once they're done will attach the beast to the seascape and put the Christmas lights on
