Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
Thanks Guys, anyone can reach that level, don;t forget i build BIG planes and in that scale, everything shows and you really have to put in detail otherwise, the lack of it will really stick out.

Another update, this time the aerial array on the nose of the revell G4. There are still 4 braces to go for the larger outer set of antennae. A combination of plastic, brass steel and aluminium were used.

Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
Thanks for your kind comments, i have now started working on the other model but this requires far less work since it is the new Dragon model. I need to put up the last couple of shots of the antennae to show all the supports since these were not yet installed in the photos i took.

Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
I know that most of you are fed up with seeing these blasted antennae but for completeness' sake i am putting up the last photos showing the last four supports for the outer larger antenna which were missing in the earlier photos.
This weekend i received some of the figures i shall be putting up near the planes so i got lost putting them together and seeing how they will look, great fun but no progress on the planes. That's the hobby, all about fun!!

Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
Here is the last bit of detailing on the engine bulkhead of the Dragon aircraft. From here on i break out the airbrush, try to revive my dried up paints and get to work to finish these two birds.

Re: A tale of 2 Me110's
That's the trouble with building aircraft doc, it takes a long time to build and detail and you hardly touch the paint all the way, then it is a lot of painting. Well, the process dictates what needs to be done but here it is, now I can start. Every time I get a shock and most of my paints will have just dried up. Enamels are getting more difficult to come by so I must start using acrylics.

If I were you try Tamiya or Gunze Sangyo with Laquer Thinner or ISO prop, they are not pure acrylics so the change might not be so drastic ... then if you opt for 'pure' acrylics I always prefer Life Colour, apart they are very smooth and user friendly to airbrush those who are purists with RAL and FS colours I think these are the closest ...

Go Brian! Can't wait to see these birds finished. With all the detail you put in these things they look like they could actually fly :p
