Claus 3.5 of the Statement of Rights and Responsibilities ("Statement," "Terms," or "SRR") in last year's mandate dose not, I repeat dose not, state any type of infringement. Also, if you read the Data Protection mandate of the EU dated july 2013, claus 3.5.5 states... and I quote " ....third party images must not be more than three thirds of the actual image and must not include any recognizable facial images." unquote.... so according to any High Court ruling, Marco did not indeed commit and infringement crime....... I declare the man innocent

Ray... if I may interject here.... if you note only a small part of the figure is showing and one can barely make out it's Verner Voss.

Re: Albatross 1/72 Declared Complete!
Matt would be more appropriate in all scales as any "sheen" whatsoever on the originals, would definitely scale down to a "matt effect" IMHO

Re: Albatross 1/72 Declared Complete!
Final pics of the Spitfire.... after Ray's and Marco's agreed use of Matt Varnish
And also the ME is finished......note I did not apply the Swastika because I am to believe that this is an evil image and since this model will go in my kids room I don't want to corrupt them!
And the Albatross is taking shape.............

I followed these from a aircraft forum.....
For lower wing he suggests...Dark Green - Venetian Red - Pale Green and the Right side: Dark Green - Pale Green
Now if you are referring to the hue, colour tone etc........... I was not there nor was anybody and nobody knows the exact shade of colour.
My concern is the metal part. What did they use in those days..... aluminium? Should it be more silver than a dark silver?

An artist impression of the colours of Lt Voss Albatross. I'm not far off and who is to say these are the correct shades?

Re: Albatross 1/72 Declared Complete!
Nice work on the planes Noel, i like the spit and the 109, especially the spit, the weathering looks absolutely fabulous. Too bad it won't show if it is hanging from a ceiling. the 109 is nice too, a bit clean but i think that is how they were. don;t know a damn thing about WWi so i will not comment.

I did not weather the 109.......... did not want to go in extra time!
I altered slightly the metal finish on the Albatross...

Re: Albatross 1/72 Declared Complete!
You're doing a great job Noel
You have every right re Swastika as it is your home, your kid & your opinion after all
But in all humbleness, I think the Swastika is a BEAUTIFUL EMBLEM & I'm sure it won't corrupt your kids' minds as ONLY human beings carried out atrocities against human beings, but again it is your call after all

Re: Albatross 1/72 Declared Complete!
i agree with Ray, after all you are modeling a piece of history and i guess it would be better to talk to your children and explain what happened during WWII instead of not putting a swastika on the model. it is not after all a symbol of Nazism only but has been an old symbol used throughout history and was only adapted for use by the Nazis. But as Ray says, you have a right to do as you wish. i hope you don;t leave it out if you do a model for yourself.
