lol!  to Brian and Ray!!!  lol!

I was being sarcastic about what I said regarding the swastika!! I love the swastika! I would even tattoo it on my kids butt! Ha, ha  lol!

I just can't understand why this law about the swastika ... and why are people..... people in Europe that are suppose to have evolved another 60 years.... can remain so regressive! I say to them "Open up you minds!!" How can a symbol be dangerous or offensive!

Noel, only in Germany this symbol is offensive, even the SS symbol. They are so strict that even model expos are checked. The idea behind it was not to get neo-nazis emerge from the ruins especially when Germany was split ... but I agree with you I think they should review these laws. Did you know they are strict not having uniforms there aswell, scoats just keep the scarf for example and the military they are not strict with hair length etc etc ...

As for rigging I'm using .14 fishing line. Very easy to use and obeys well and fast with a drop of super glue. The only hitch is that you always need a 'through' hole to pass the rigging, pull gently and super glue.

Noel, it is about time you start introducing aircraft in your dioramas. You can really go to town incorporating figures, AFV's and planes.

    Iv

First of all thank you ALL for your praises and kind comments!

The rigging: I'm using a .14 fishing line. It's very thin and quite to scale.

If I'm doing the rigging from the cowling to the outer vertical wing support, for example, I drill a tiny hole next to the cowling.  I cut a length of fishing line and insert one end in the hole and place a drop of super glue. After a few minutes I pull on the line and stretch it to the vertical support and keep the tension....... and with the other hand place a drop of super glue to where the line is touching the plastic..... and wait for a while to dry before releasing tension....DONE!  I gently trim the extra lenght of fishing line.

    Hope this helps

    Another example:

Can you see those two straight vertical rigging next to the support?

First I drilled two shallow position holes under the upper wing. These serve as a position point for the fishing line and a cavity for the super glue to fill in and hold the line.

I dip one end of the line in SG and gently place it in the shallow position hole and wait overnight.
On the bottom wing I drilled two clean (straight through) holes and I passed the other end of the line and pulled gently to tension the line. Keeping the tension, I placed SG in the hole and wait for it to dry... it took only a minute or so because the line bonds very quickly.
