I have now discovered that the instructions have you put the wings on upside down! After looking at the instructions and pictures of the aircraft I figured out the instructions are in error (again!). I was wondering how to put the wings on and get rid of the warp on them. The answer is to put them on the other side of the aircraft and the warp problem goes away!

Re: My production line
Well I finally got the fuselage halves together, several clamps and some superglue later.... puttied and sanded the seams....the nos cone is a little misshapen but the only way to fix that would be to get a new nosecone - not worth it on this model.

Re: My production line
Had an accident with the HE-162, (aka the lightsaber) dropped it and shattered the landing gear. I have repaired it the best I could but it is now just out of model show quality. The nose wheel is a bit askew and one of the rear landing gear is pigeon toed now. But it will still be a very good shelf kit.

Re: My production line
Got this model used, meaning it had been started by another modeler. All that had gotten done was sanding of the raised panel line and starting of the rescribing. I don't know what he was using as reference but only 2 or 3 of the rescribed lines were correct! So I had to full all the scribed lines to start it over. (he had only sanded down the fuselage.) I have rescribed the flight surfaces and now have to scribe the fuselage.

Re: My production line
OK I have the cockpit done and the fuselage halves glued together. Have some sanding to do then it will be time to scribe the fuselage (fun)
I have picked up these decals for it.

Re: My production line
I masked the outline of the first shade of blue on the 14... The dots are to show each piece of tape and the larger piece in the middle of spaces is to remind me which areas to mask over...

Re: My production line
It is now ready for it's first gloss coat so I can put on decals..
The "whiskers" were a pain to get right...
wonder how long it will take me to snap those little puppies off?

The Thud has 2-3 coats of paint on it right now, to many to do much more touch up...
I haven't started the weathering stage yet. Right now it is receiving a gloss coat for decals and panel line sludge. Then comes the weathering.

Re: My production line
I lost my sight!!!!! How do you manage such a rapid build and painting job on so many and demanding kits? Are you working 24hours per day? You never sleep at all mate? Bionic modeller!!! Excellent all of them!!

Re: My production line
Beautiful work but i would like to comment about your He162. The engine needs more detail if you are going to leave the covers open and the tyres are way too grey, dead. It would be great if you could spray the inner sidewalls, close to the wheel itself with some black and let it merge into the grey on the part of the tyre which comes in contact with the ground.

Actually this model is luck to have any landing gear. I dropped it and shatter all the gear. None of them on a glue seam either. Several 4 letter words and some super glued fingers later got it to what you see today. It was built OOB. I have a second one on my "to build" shelf and will look into those suggestions when it goes together. Now would that be true for all german aircraft? (gear wise?)

Re: My production line
I picked up these this weekend, got about 50% off total cost!
How many of you noticed the 109 in the top picture was a 2 seater?
The SU-27 has a resin kit that turns it into a naval version...
Don't miss the scale on the Hind-24

Re: My production line
Some more models I mail ordered last week came in today, I now have restocked my to do shelf...
This is the one I am most interested in...
It was the second model I built last when i got back in to the hobby about 3 years ago, this is what that one looked like...
I think it will be interesting to see what I can do with the kit now...
As you can see my interest bounce all over the place (I even have a battleship in the marine section here)
