Nothing to do with Libya, but nobody can escape or evade capture for ever, their time will come.

Re: Libya crisis
Great photoreportage about the Battle for Libya, some images are very graphic but then again it shows the reality that is happening some miles away from us ...

Re: Libya crisis
This French Airforce Super Etendard requested an emergency landing at around 2:00 am. It seems that he encountered a problem when trying to fire a missile. A group of engineers arrived with a caracel helicopter in the afternoon and they attached the same missile with another pylon.

Re: Libya crisis
Well done Antoine, very nice pictures!! The french are truly making up for the times they missed the airshow! I am starting to love french aircraft
Ivan, as far as I know, the only and sole U-2 operator is the USAF and they were depolyed for recon of libya. Maybe there was a misunderstanding, can you post the link please. There are plans to retire the U-2 in a couple of years, but uptill now it soldiers on, 50+ years on the line!!

Re: Libya crisis
BTW guys I can confirm that the Etendard we had yestarday requested an emergency landing after he tried to fire a missile and something went wrong. He tried to land on the charles de gaulle and they told him that it was dangerous to land on the carrier with a faulty missile. So what was the result !!!!! Landng in Malta..................................
