and im the one who is moaning that i have too many rivets to glue. you are much much more crazy than me, incredible work. one suggestion these posts, when the model is finished would make a hell of a book for would be model ship builders. ever thought of that paul?

Good afternoon SSM Brothers,
More pics of the radars emplacement. Unforunately, I did not have the opportunity to finish it off. I still need another 2 to 3 weeks of work, that is, if I spend a good hour of work every day.
A comparision in size between the base part of the radar stabilizer and a 5cent coin.
A view of the radar stabilizer and the surge arrestor.

Good afternoon Alex,
Thanks for your kind and encouraging comment. Yes I would say that a book describing the whole build will be a good idea. Will think about it at the end of the project. For the time being, I have more then I can handle.
Cheers.

Good morning SSM Brothers,
First of all, thank you all for your kind comments and feedback.
More update pictures, as the beginning of the end for the radar station has started.
Now that basically the radar installation is ready, I am concentrating on the armoured observation post on which the radar was placed.
The heavy armoured door for the armoured observatin post.
The barcket liners for the electrical conduit installation of the external tower lighting system.
Storage cabinets located at either side of the observation post.
The three external light fittings, showing the stages of construction.
v
The base for the armoured perescope.
The construction of the stiffener fins for the base.
One of the three bases.
The aluminium disk spacers.
The base assembly.
The second base well under construction.
The armoured perescope nearing completion.
The perescopes in place.
A rear view of the perescopes.
A side view.
A rear view of the whole assembly.
A front view f the radar assembly.
