1:72 Scale German WW2 Heavy Battle Cruiser K.M.S. Scharnhorst 1943

Good morning Brothers in arms,

Today, I am posting the pictures relating the progress works already underway to detail the admiral's bridge, or as most of you know as the wheel house.

The full set of window frames, awaiting the next step.

This week, I shall be working on the navigational equipment, located on the front side of the bridge. not much equipment. Only the ships compass bearing stand, the steering control column with a small steering wheel and joysticks, and some other communications equipment + a small navigational chart table by the side. Hope to have them ready by the end of the week, so that I will apply the finish, and be able to continue with the ships, tower.

hope you are keeing writen records of what you are doing, as i said before this project apart from the model iteself would make a great step by step manual.
would it be possible to have a facebook type icon where we can click on like. im finding it hard to find more superlatives for this wonderous work

yes, I am keeping a full documented history of the construction of the ship, togather with all the reference and research materials. I only hope that I will find enough time to sort it out.

Good morning all,
Today, I am posting more progress pictures related to the internal detailing of the admiral's bridge.
Thanks Dottore for looking in, I am afraid that planning a deadline is out of the question. It all depends on the extent of detailing I am dealing with, the correct information gathered, tooling and workmanship; as all the items making part of the ship are all scratch built.

The start of the bridge floor planking. The outine planking is in place and the start of the inlay planking.

The web striffeners attached to the brass uprights and roof tee beams.
